The Space

Twenty-five years after opening, Woodstone still sits on 200 acres of golf course and natural terrain in the Lehigh Valley foothills, a milestone the club marked with its recent anniversary. The vision behind it began in 1997, three years before the doors opened in 2000, and it now sits in a category of venue that has hosted weddings long enough to have its systems worked out rather than still figuring them out.

Inside, the Grand Room has cathedral ceilings and a grand staircase built for a ceremony entrance, the Grand Ballroom looks out toward the Blue Mountains, and the smaller Emerald Room handles intimate gatherings up to 60. Outdoors, a garden ceremony site and a two-tiered patio both face the golf course, so a couple can move a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception across three or four distinct settings without leaving the property.

The venue tops out at 300 guests, which covers most weddings with room to spare, and the Emerald Room’s 60-guest ceiling gives a separate option for a smaller rehearsal dinner or an intimate reception without renting the whole club. Couples choosing between the Grand Ballroom and the Emerald Room are really choosing between a big-room feel and a close, conversational one.

Because the lodge has 19 guest rooms on site, including four Jacuzzi suites with dual balconies, out-of-town guests and the wedding party can stay steps from the reception instead of driving back to a hotel late at night. That also means load-in for a DJ or band is a short walk from where any early-arriving guests are already staying, not a separate trip across town. The championship golf course itself, threading through those same 200 acres, is part of what couples and guests actually see from the ballroom windows and the two-tiered patio.

Dining runs through three venues on property, the 19th Grille Room, the Emerald Room, and Timber restaurant for more elevated meals, so a rehearsal dinner or next-morning breakfast has options beyond the wedding reception itself. The lodge lobby carries rustic touches, custom stone walls, a grand chandelier, and a fireplace, and there is a game room with ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and giant Jenga for guests to drift toward once formal dinner wraps up.
