We had a wonderful experience working with Dow Oak Events and Erik. They were easy to work with, their planning tools were great and helpful to me in my planning process, and Erik was happy to customize the reception to just how I wanted it. He had the dance floor full all night long and everyone had an absolute blast! We could not have asked for a better DJ experience for our wedding!

Dow Oak Events provided an awesome reception atmosphere for our guests!! We honestly had so much fun! Our DJ was awesome and kept the party going. Our guests also really enjoyed the photobooth! Would recommend for any event!

Affordable and Excellent Results. DJ Ryan emceed our wedding and did an incredible job reading the guests and keeping everyone moving all night! He was patient during the process leading up to the wedding and worked with us when we were a bit behind our deadline for everything. Very affordable, very personal service. Highly recommend!

Hiring Dow Oaks for our reception was one of the best wedding decisions we made! Working with DJ Graham was an absolute pleasure. He had an uncanny ability to read the room and kept our guests dancing the night away. We received more compliments on the DJ than any other vendor. Graham helped us surprise my father during the father-daughter dance, and I cannot thank him enough! Great experience! We choose DJ Mason from Dow Oaks. Mason did great. He completed the tall task of satisfying us first, and the rest of the wedding guests and all of their varying tastes in music. I was SO insanely impressed with DJ Erik and the whole Dow Oak Events team. From the get go, their prices were reasonable and they were incredibly responsive (it took less than five minutes to hear back from them, I kid you not). Their website is easy to use and they were kind enough to send email follow-ups for playlist and payment deadlines. DJ Erik (or more apt DJ Erok) is very talented and kept almost my entire guest list on the dance floor for close to three hours. He is adept at reading the crowd and blending genres- many times my guests would scream with excitement at a song they hadn’t heard since middle school. I can’t say enough great things. I highly recommend Dow Oak Events and DJ Erik in particular! We received so many compliments on how great our DJ was!

Erik was awesome! We met Erik in the very early stages of Dow Oak starting and it’s no wonder it has taken off! Erik was with us every step of the way and made it all about us. He was truly flexible especially when mother nature decided to drop a few inches of snow at the end of March. You would have thought we planned our day that way. From the ceremony to reception, everything was seamless. Once the party got going, it was like he knew what we were thinking. We left a lot of the music up to him and he did not disappoint. We would throw another wedding just for the music. Step 1 of your vendor search is to hire these guys!

The day was AWESOME! Josh and I both agree that you were one of our favorite vendor experiences throughout that day and Freddie in particular completely surpassed our expectations. He was able to not only roll with our (slightly abnormal) musical tastes, but he rolled with all the punches and surprises (enter the bagpiper that was unbeknownst to me) we threw at him. He did not just agree to do what we said, but he became an autonomous actor in the whole process, understanding what we wanted to hear based on our reactions, the little surprises we had for each other and for our guests, and on our previous discussions. At no point did we feel we needed to address preferences with him or ask for changes. He had seamless music transitions, a great presence at the reception, and was both professional and friendly.
