We had DJ Freddie for our wedding and had such a great experience! We gave him some vague information on what we liked and what we didn’t and told him we trusted him to roll with it and did a great job! I walked down the isle to a song that had just instrumental music in the beginning (first 30 seconds) but wanted that to be a little longer so I only had to use one song for everyone in my party to walk to. He was able edit it for me to double the time of the instrumental music part which was an odd request I thought but it was wonderful! During the reception we had multiple people say they loved the song choices and multiple people ask for his information after the wedding as well!

They played great music and kept everyone dancing all night long. Since our ceremony and reception were held in the same location, we had to work around a tight turn around and they were more than willing to setup a little early before the ceremony and then come back after to finish. If we ever need another DJ, they will definitely be our first call.

Seriously, Dow Oak and specifically Freddie were INCREDIBLE. One month before the big day and our previously booked DJ BAILED! Dow Oak emailed back almost immediately after the inquiry and within two days we had banged out a contract and gotten the ball rolling- crisis adverted! I cannot say enough about the outstanding communication of the company! The week before the wedding Freddie reached out to firm up our plans and meet for a face to face, normal run of the mill stuff. NOTHING could have prepared us for what a rockstar he would be the day of. Not only was he a GREAT DJ and a super sweet human, he was valuable (and willing!) set of hands when it started pouring rain five minutes before the outdoor ceremony. He was flexible and extremely accommodating.

The day was AWESOME! Josh and I both agree that you were one of our favorite vendor experiences throughout that day and Freddie in particular completely surpassed our expectations. He was able to not only roll with our (slightly abnormal) musical tastes, but he rolled with all the punches and surprises (enter the bagpiper that was unbeknownst to me) we threw at him. He did not just agree to do what we said, but he became an autonomous actor in the whole process, understanding what we wanted to hear based on our reactions, the little surprises we had for each other and for our guests, and on our previous discussions. At no point did we feel we needed to address preferences with him or ask for changes. He had seamless music transitions, a great presence at the reception, and was both professional and friendly.

If you are looking for a DJ that will not break the bank or take up the majority of your wedding budget AND keep everyone on the dance floor …. Dow Oak Events is the perfect fit! We have gotten tons of compliments from our guests that our DJ was awesome! Freddie Sweeney was professional, easy to work with, super friendly and creative in the right ways. He allowed us to feel that our input was important, but also allowed us to trust him to take the reins. A great DJ was important to us, but also one of the areas of our wedding planning that we felt we didn’t have enough recommendations that fell into our price range, but were also great DJs. Freddie and Dow Oak exceeded our expectations and put our fears of a bad DJ that couldn’t keep people dancing to rest!

Erik did an amazing job at my July wedding! All my guests were on the dance floor immediately after dinner and there was never any down time. I would highly recommend Erik and his team!

These guys were great! The fastest of any vendor in responding (seriously within like 30 min or less). We were able to personalize the music at our wedding to just as we like it and it was perfect. They did such a good job we had multiple relatives ask for the playlist, definitely would recommend them to anyone!

Dow Oak and DJ Erik were fantastic to work with for our wedding! Their planning tools and communication prior to the event were extensive and left nothing to chance. We really appreciated knowing that all bases had been covered well before the wedding day. DJ Erik was fantastic at reading the crowd and responding with the music he played. There were times where most of our guests were outside playing lawn games rather than inside on the dance floor, but DJ Erik was never overbearing in trying to get people back to the dance floor. But he also never stopped playing awesome music! We couldn’t be happier with our choice to book Dow Oak Events for our wedding.

Freddie was our DJ with dow oak events – and let me just tell you, I don’t think we could have picked a better person to handle our music. He really got our vibe. Also, he was very amenable to last minute requests for songs, announcements, etc. Dow Oaks has an amazing website with a client portal for organizing your event, and they’re really helpful when it comes to walking you through it step by step. Great experience with this company as a whole, but I can’t reccomend Freddie enough! Definitely one our favorite vendors!
