I have been to other weddings where there were parts of the night that had an awkward silence, there was a single second that was awkward the entire evening, it was PERFECT. He was such a quick responder (which to a bride is everythinggg) and very professional!! If you’re looking for a great DJ at a great price, you should pick Dow Oak! Erik did a great job helping me plan through every step of the process, their planning process for your event is phenomenal! The music the day of my event was great, we had everyone out of the dance floor. Erik even stayed an hour after our event just to play music for my family while they cleaned up, everything the day of was seamless and I could not have asked for a better experience!

We were blown away from the very first phone conversation with DJ Ryan. He was professional, personable, flexible, and listened to what we wanted to do. When it came to the big day he showed up on time, set up without any issues and proceded to make our night run as smoothly as possible. He provided a lapel microphone for the ceremony and a handheld microphone for the toasts later on. It is no joke when I tell you that we had a hard time getting people off the dance floor at the end of the night. No one wanted to leave, he kept the energy in the room up and moving the whole night. If I were you I would ask for Ryan when you call to see if he is available, you won’t be disapointed!!

Erik Massengale was the DJ at our recent wedding. We had known him a few years prior as a friend, but never really experienced his work. I, myself, am a high school teacher and have used different DJ’s from around the area (within our vendor list, of course). Erik was, by far, one of the easiest and greatest people to work with. Early on, he was prepared with a layout/tentative timeline for us to look at. He was quick to respond and very personable. He has everything you could need for a wedding! He was flexible when things didn’t go as planned and perfect at introductions and feeling out the crowd. He was able to work with all of our songs and did an amazing job! Definitely made our wedding night very special!!

DJ Erik was incredible to work with! I knew my wedding would be a tough one trying to blend Arabic and English but he did it so well! My dad, one of the toughest critics I know, was so impressed with how well Erik would flowed back and forth between the two languages! People were dancing the whole night!

They played great music and kept everyone dancing all night long. Since our ceremony and reception were held in the same location, we had to work around a tight turn around and they were more than willing to setup a little early before the ceremony and then come back after to finish. If we ever need another DJ, they will definitely be our first call.

I could not have been more pleased with our experience with Erik @ Dow Oak Events. He made the whole music process FUN during a time when stress-levels are at an all time high. Their website portal makes logging your selections super easy and you can write down exactly what you’re looking for in the vibe for your wedding. When I met with Erik before the big day and we went over every line. He made me feel confident it was going to go great. Erik is a great guy and an excellent DJ, read the room perfectly and I still have people telling me how they can’t believe they danced for 2.5 hours straight! My biggest fear was nobody dancing and boy did he calm that fear! I would recommend ANYONE in the NC area to book with Dow Oak! 13/10 would book again for any event
