The Space

Rooster’s SouthPark opened December 6, 2006, as the first Charlotte location of a concept Chef Jim Noble started in Winston-Salem in 1992 under the name A Noble Grille. The restaurant built its private event program around wood-fired cooking, and instead of one banquet room, it offers four separate private spaces that a couple can book according to the size and feel of the event, from an intimate dinner to a larger reception.

The Cellar is the smallest and most distinct of the four, a fully glassed room built adjoining a temperature-controlled wine cellar, seating 20 to 22 guests with its own audio and visual capability. Rooster’s sources ingredients from regional growers and works directly with them to cultivate specialty crops and heirloom varieties exclusive to the restaurant, so the menu reflects real relationships with local farms rather than a standard banquet menu.

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 9pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10pm, with weekend brunch running Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am to 2:30pm, hours worth checking against a proposed event time since this remains an active restaurant alongside its private dining business.
