The Space

Reinhart’s Barn Weddings is a 35-acre working Christmas tree farm in western Berks County, Pennsylvania. Allen and Lisa Reinhart bought the farm from Allen’s parents in 1985 and operated it exclusively for Christmas tree cultivation until 2016. When their daughter Shelley planned a wedding with short notice in 2016, the family hosted it in their pre-1850s barn. After photos of that wedding went viral on Facebook, five brides reached out in 2017 asking to marry in the same barn. The Reinharts officially opened the wedding venue in 2017.

The original barn, built before 1850, has been fully restored with heating, air conditioning, and four modern restrooms. A second barn, originally built in 1875 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, was moved to the property in 2017. The second barn measures 56 feet by 100 feet with radiant heat in the floor and overhead heating. A wrap-around porch expansion was added to the second barn in 2020 to prevent sun from baking the side wall. The barn doors on two sides slide completely open to allow an open-air feel during nice weather.

Capacity & Layout

The venue accommodates up to 300 guests seated across the two barns and surrounding grounds. A bridal room and groom’s room with private restrooms provide changing and dressing facilities for the wedding party. Both barns feature lofts with game tables for guest entertainment. A shaded grove with wooden benches and a brick walkway leads to an outdoor ceremony site.

Rental packages are all-inclusive, with 30 round 60-inch tables, six six-foot rectangular tables, four eight-foot rectangular tables, and 300 cross-back chairs included. A bar area is made from a restored 20-foot piece of mahogany, and a RAMP-Certified Bartender is required for alcohol service. A pavilion with sliding doors on three sides is attached to the second barn for ceremonies or receptions and provides weather protection for outdoor events.

The property features extensive parking in a well-lit lot. Both barns are fully climate-controlled with heating and AC (original barn) or radiant floor and overhead heating (second barn), allowing year-round operation. Handicap accessibility is provided throughout. The 35-acre working farm setting includes Christmas trees, Scottish Highland cattle, and alpacas, adding pastoral character.

Two loft areas with game tables provide entertaining spaces for guests during receptions. The outdoor grove ceremony site is shaded and features wooden bench seating and brick pathways. The surrounding farm landscape provides numerous photo opportunities throughout the day, from wooded areas to open pasture space. The inclusion of 300 chairs and substantial table inventory within the venue rental reduces vendor coordination and overall event costs for couples.

The barn doors that slide open on the second barn allow transition between interior and exterior sound coverage, and the surrounding tree coverage and open pasture absorb excess sound, preventing noise from carrying far beyond the event site.
