The Space

Noah’s Event Venue in High Point opened on March 11, 2017, after construction began the year before, as the Utah-based Noah Corporation’s 32nd location nationwide and its second in North Carolina. The 7,784-square-foot building was purpose-built as a wedding and event facility, with a ceremony room, bridal suite, conference rooms, and a catering prep kitchen all under one roof. The venue closed in February 2020 after its parent company filed for bankruptcy the year before.

The ceremony room was the building’s signature space: a vaulted ceiling paired with a sliding glass wall that opened onto an included patio, so a ceremony could be run with the wall open to the outdoors or closed off depending on weather. A separate bridal suite and small and large conference rooms rounded out the layout for getting ready and for the reception itself.

Capacity & Layout

The venue listed a standing capacity of up to 350 people and a seated capacity of around 300, numbers that put it in range for a mid-to-large wedding without needing to combine multiple rooms. Those figures cover the reception space rather than the ceremony room alone, so a couple working with a guest list near the top of that range would have used most of the building’s footprint.

Layout-wise, the ceremony room with its vaulted ceiling and glass wall was built to convert into part of the reception flow rather than sit as a separate rented add-on, and the small and large conference rooms gave the venue flexibility to run a smaller rehearsal dinner or a bigger reception within the same 7,784 square feet depending on which rooms were opened up.

Amenities

A catering prep kitchen was built into the venue, along with a bridal suite for getting ready before the ceremony, so hair, makeup, and last-minute details had a dedicated room separate from where guests were seated. The building was wheelchair accessible, and the patio connected directly to the ceremony room through the sliding glass wall, giving a couple an outdoor option without leaving the building’s own property.

The property also overlooked a lake with walking trails nearby, giving photographers an outdoor backdrop close at hand even though the core rental was the indoor event space. None of these amenities are bookable any longer since the venue closed in February 2020, following the Noah Corporation’s bankruptcy filing in May 2019, but they describe the building as it operated during its three years open.

Location & Getting There

The venue sat in High Point, North Carolina, on a property positioned to overlook a lake with walking trails, giving it a quieter, more residential feel than a downtown event space. It operated from March 2017 until its closure in February 2020, a run of not quite three years before the chain-wide bankruptcy shut every Noah’s location down.

Inside, the vaulted ceremony room with its sliding glass wall was built to run sound both ways: closed, the hard walls and high ceiling held music and speeches inside the room, and opened onto the patio, the same system could carry a cocktail hour or reception out into the covered outdoor space without a second sound setup.
