The Space

Jeremy and Michelle Curles bought Goshen Farm in 2016, when the property came with 40 acres and a house, and have since expanded it to 90 acres of working farmland. The barn they built there was designed to do double duty, hosting both weddings and events and what the owners call revival gatherings for religious groups, and it held its first wedding as a small ceremony with the owner’s own mother-in-law before growing into a full event venue.

A 1,600-square-foot covered outdoor pavilion extends the barn’s footprint outside, built around a double-sided fireplace with surround sound and seven wrought iron ring chandeliers overhead. The farm itself stays a working operation around the event space, home to cattle, sheep, a small vineyard, beehives, and a garden, and the Curles partner with local FFA and 4-H groups on agricultural education, so the farm setting here is not decorative, it is actually functioning.

Capacity & Layout

The barn holds up to 400 guests with a flexible floor plan that supports multiple setup configurations rather than one fixed arrangement, and the property’s 90 acres offer several indoor and outdoor ceremony sites to choose from beyond the barn itself. That range, from an intimate ceremony to a 400-guest reception, means the same venue can flex for a couple planning something modest or something considerably larger.

The venue supplies 200 black metal folding chairs, 25 five-foot round tables, six high-top tables, six six-foot rectangular tables, and four eight-foot rectangular tables, enough furniture built into the rental that a couple is not sourcing tables and chairs separately for a 400-guest event. A bridal suite with a full-sized bathroom is also included, giving the wedding party a dedicated space to get ready on site.

Amenities

Saturday rentals run from 9am to midnight, with Friday rehearsal access from 2pm to 10pm, hours that give a couple a full day for setup, the ceremony, and the reception without racing a shorter window. A kitchen area and restroom facilities are available on site, along with a dumpster for trash, practical details that keep a large event from overwhelming the property’s working-farm infrastructure.

Fire rules are specific here: real candles are allowed only in a closed container with at least 2 inches of space below the rim, and open flames are not permitted otherwise, worth knowing before finalizing a centerpiece plan. A $1,000,000 event insurance policy is required for booking, and the venue has hosted events beyond weddings too, including the Aiken Chamber of Commerce’s 108th Annual Gala in 2026.

Goshen Farm sits a few miles from downtown Aiken, South Carolina, close enough for guests staying in town to reach easily while still getting the open, working-farm setting the 90 acres provide. Plenty of parking is available on site, which matters for an event that can run up to 400 guests arriving by car rather than shuttle.
