The barn at Glenmoore Farm dates to 1889, and it still carries its original bents and beams rather than a rebuilt or replica structure, so what a couple stands under during a reception is the same timber frame that has been holding this roof up for well over a century. Mike Ellery and Anne Nixon-Ellery bought and renovated the property to bring it back into use as an event space, keeping that structural history intact rather than gutting it for something newer.

Inside, the barn is set up with string lights overhead, a bar, and a bathroom, and an upstairs loft adds a second level of space for guests to spread into during a reception rather than staying packed onto the main floor. Outside, the grounds include a small pond crossed by a bridge, an Airstream trailer parked on site, and the farm’s own animals and tractors, giving the property a working-farm feel rather than a manicured event lawn.

Capacity & Layout

Glenmoore Farm has not published a fixed guest capacity, so the honest way to plan is around the spaces themselves: the main barn floor for a seated reception, the upstairs loft as overflow or a quieter gathering spot, and the outdoor lawn for a ceremony separate from the reception space. That layout lets a couple split their day between an indoor barn reception and an outdoor ceremony without moving guests off the property between the two.

For overnight stays, the farm offers a 2-bedroom guest suite, useful for the couple themselves or immediate family the night before or after the wedding, even though it is not lodging for a full wedding party. The pond and bridge give the grounds a second photo location beyond the barn and lawn, and the property also keeps additional barns and tents available, so layout can flex if a couple’s guest count runs larger than the main barn alone comfortably holds.

The main barn comes with a bar built in and a bathroom that has been recently updated, both practical amenities that save a couple from renting portable facilities or trucking in a bar setup for a barn that otherwise has none. String lights are already installed overhead, which is one less piece of decor a couple has to source and hang themselves before the reception.

The farm’s working character shows up in its amenities too: animals and tractors on the grounds, plus an annual RainbowMoon Festival held on site each summer with music, arts, yoga and dance, which tells you this is a property used for gathering people outdoors, not just for one-off private rentals. An Airstream parked near the pond adds another spot for photos or a quiet break away from the reception.
