The Space
Ground broke on February 9, 2011 for what would become Embassy Suites by Hilton Fayetteville Fort Bragg, a four-story, all-suite hotel that opened in 2012 with 165 guest rooms and suites. The hotel was built using the brand’s Design Option III architecture, chosen specifically to bring more natural light into the building than an older prototype would, which shows up in the meeting and pre-function spaces as much as in the guest rooms.
Total event space runs to 9,939 square feet, organized into a main ballroom plus several named meeting rooms including Sicily, Holland, Normandy, and Victory. That naming and room count give the hotel real flexibility: a couple can use one room for a ceremony, another for a cocktail hour, and the ballroom for the reception, all under one roof and without guests losing track of where the next part of the evening is happening.
Capacity & Layout
The ballroom accommodates up to 500 guests for banquet-style seated dining or up to 1,012 for a standing reception, a wide enough spread that the same room can serve a formal seated wedding dinner or a much larger standing celebration depending on how a couple wants the evening to run. An outdoor patio adds capacity for up to 522 guests at a reception, which lets a couple move part of the party outside without leaving the property.
With 165 guest rooms and suites on site, the hotel can house a large share of an out-of-town guest list under the same roof as the ballroom, cutting down on the shuttle logistics a couple would otherwise need to plan between a hotel block and a separate venue. The named meeting rooms give smaller portions of the day, a rehearsal dinner or a family brunch the next morning, a dedicated space apart from the main ballroom.
Amenities
Flying Spoons restaurant operates on site, serving breakfast and dinner daily, which gives the wedding party and traveling guests a reliable dining option without needing to leave the hotel during a packed weekend. The property also includes an indoor pool, a fitness center, and an outdoor bar patio, amenities that matter for a multi-day wedding weekend where guests are looking for something to do beyond the ceremony and reception themselves.
Complimentary self-parking is available on site in an open lot, along with a full bar and a complimentary evening reception nightly for hotel guests, standard Embassy Suites features that add value to a wedding block without extra cost to the couple. Accessible features are available throughout the property, and the hotel asks that specific accessibility needs be confirmed directly with staff ahead of an event.
Location & Getting There
The hotel sits about one mile from Cross Creek Mall and 2.5 miles from Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, putting it close to one of the largest military communities in the country. That proximity matters for a lot of weddings booked here, since many guest lists include active-duty family and friends stationed nearby, and the short distance to base keeps travel simple for them.
Fayetteville Regional Airport is about 5 miles away for guests flying in directly, with Raleigh-Durham International available roughly 70 miles out as a larger alternative. Inside, the ballroom is a large hotel function room built to handle a reception of over a thousand standing guests, so a DJ setting up there should plan for a bigger room with more air to fill than a boutique venue, while the smaller named meeting rooms nearby carry sound in a much more contained, conversational way.
