The Space
Brandon and Megan Brandle bought the Robinson Creek Road property in 2016 while still living in Charleston, then moved back to Rutherford County and spent the next couple of years building the barn themselves, Brandon on construction and Megan on the interior. The venue opened in 2020, and the whole 25-plus-acre property was shaped by a specific memory: the couple was married at the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston and wanted something in that spirit back home.
The climate-controlled barn is the main indoor space, built to hold up to 160 guests seated for dinner, and it sits alongside real supporting rooms rather than just a bare hall: a bridal suite, a groom’s room, two bathrooms, a coat closet, and a prep kitchen with its own ice maker. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces and indoor and outdoor bars mean the barn’s interior and the grounds around it are both built out for a full evening, not just the reception itself.
Capacity & Layout
One hundred sixty seated for dinner inside the barn sets the ceiling for an indoor reception here, and it is worth planning a guest list around that number rather than assuming overflow space, since the barn is climate-controlled and built as one defined room. Couples choosing a ceremony site have two distinct options with different feels: the Fireplace Ceremony site beside the barn seats 140, close enough to the reception space to move guests quickly from one to the other.
The Creekside Ceremony site seats up to 135 and sits by the creek under shade-providing trees, a genuinely different setting from the fireplace site, further from the barn and built around water and tree cover rather than the building itself. Choosing between the two is choosing between a ceremony steps from the reception or one set apart in a shaded, creekside spot, both real options on the same 25-plus acres.
Amenities
On-site overnight accommodations mean a wedding party does not have to leave the property at the end of the night, which is a genuine convenience on 25 acres this far from town. The prep kitchen, with rear access and its own ice maker, plus a bridal suite and groom’s room with two bathrooms, cover the practical needs of a wedding day, getting ready, cooling drinks, staging food, without renting in extra equipment.
Indoor and outdoor bars and indoor and outdoor fireplaces double the options for where cocktail hour or a late-night gathering happens, warm barn interior or open air by a second fireplace outside. A covered porch adds one more in-between space, neither fully indoors nor fully exposed, useful for guests who want air without stepping fully away from the party.
Location & Getting There
Creekside Farm sits in Bostic, in Rutherford County, positioned between Asheville, Charlotte, and Greenville, and just minutes from Rutherfordton and Forest City. That location makes it reachable for guests coming from any of those three metro areas without putting the venue firmly inside any one of them, useful for a couple whose guest list is split across the region.
We worked a wedding at Creekside Farm, and the difference between the two ceremony sites matters for sound as much as scenery: the Fireplace Ceremony site sits close enough to the barn to run off the same setup, while the Creekside site by the water and under trees is far enough out that a DJ needs a separate portable system to reach it, and the climate-controlled barn itself holds sound well for the reception once everyone moves back inside.
