The Space

Two barns anchor this Christmas tree farm in Bernville, and each one carries its own timeline. The original barn predates 1850 and has been fully restored with heating, air conditioning, and four modern restrooms, while a second barn, built in 1875 in Lancaster County, was moved onto the property in 2017 after the family’s first barn wedding proved popular enough to justify a larger space for the events that followed it.

Allen and Lisa Reinhart started the farm in 1985, and it grew into a working tree farm that also raises Scottish Highland cattle and alpacas. The original barn got its first addition to host a wedding for one of their own children, and that single event set off the decision to bring in the second, larger bank barn as a dedicated pavilion for bigger weddings that followed after it.

Capacity & Layout

The property seats up to 200 guests, split across the two barns and a pavilion, giving a couple more than one setting to move through across the day. The ceremony grove offers a shaded outdoor spot with wooden benches along a path leading in, separate from either barn, so the ceremony itself can sit apart from wherever the reception happens later in the evening.

The second barn’s doors slide completely open on two sides, turning it into an open-air space in good weather while still offering full walls when needed, and it comes with a wrap-around porch, radiant heat in the floor, and overhead heating. A pavilion measuring 56 feet by 100 feet, also with a radiant heat floor and overhead heating, extends the covered footprint further still for larger receptions on the property.

Amenities

Both a bridal room and a groom’s room are available, each with a private restroom, so the wedding party has separate space to get ready rather than sharing one room between them. The bar area is built around a restored 20-foot piece of mahogany, and a RAMP certified bartender is required to work it, with a drink package option available as well for guests who want it.

A golf cart is available on site for guests who need help getting around the property, and parking is set in a lit lot for evening arrivals and departures. Catering is arranged through an outside caterer rather than an in-house kitchen, so a couple books that piece separately, and the venue operates seasonally with heating and AC in the original barn covering colder months of the year.

Location & Getting There

The farm sits on 35 acres in western Berks County, close to Bernville, Pennsylvania, and runs year-round with daily availability throughout the calendar. Music has to end by 10pm and all personal effects need to be cleared out by 11pm, both on Fridays and Saturdays, with the day generally starting around 9am, a curfew worth building the reception timeline around from the very start.

We have worked a wedding at Reinhart’s Barn on Oak Lane, and the split between the two barns is the thing to plan sound around: the second barn’s sliding doors and open-air option change the acoustics depending on whether they are open or closed, while the original barn’s heated and air-conditioned interior holds a more contained sound for a DJ setup regardless of the weather outside that day.
