The Space

Zen Greenville occupies 15,000 square feet of contemporary indoor and outdoor event space in downtown Greenville. Founded in 2008, the venue was designed with aesthetics at its core, reflecting an East-meets-West philosophy with clean lines, minimalist design, and sliding glass walls that dissolve boundaries between inside and out. The interior features custom blown glass chandeliers, luxurious bathrooms, and a beautiful ceiling mural in the lobby. A Japanese-inspired outdoor Bamboo Garden with water sculptures completes the space. This is a place where design decisions are intentional and create distinct moods for different celebrations.

Four distinct event spaces allow complete customization of your event flow. The Lotus Lounge features a backlit bar and dynamic lighting. The Studio is the largest space with views into the Bamboo Garden and an upstairs mezzanine loft. The Suite provides a smaller, intimate option for bridal preparation or smaller gatherings. The Bamboo Garden offers an outdoor garden aesthetic with Japanese landscaping. A full commercial kitchen sits adjacent to all event spaces.

Capacity & Layout

The Studio is the largest space at 6,000 square feet, accommodating 300 seated or 450 standing guests. The Lotus Lounge holds 2,400 square feet with capacity for 120 formal seated, 225 cocktail, or 250 for a ceremony. The Bamboo Garden provides 3,600 square feet with 120 formal seated, 250 cocktail, or 200 for ceremonies. The Suite is 1,500 square feet, suited for 10 to 40 people depending on room setup. This variety means the venue works for intimate gatherings or large celebrations without any space feeling undersized.

All four spaces are flexible in layout. The Suite includes a full bathroom, wet bar, and kitchenette, making it ideal for bridal preparation. The Bamboo Garden has views of the Studio interior through glass walls, so indoor and outdoor spaces feel connected. A mezzanine loft in the Studio provides elevated seating or an alternative ceremony backdrop.

Amenities

A 750-square-foot main kitchen is equipped with a 750-pound ice machine, six-burner range, fryer, and convection oven, supporting both on-site catering and outside caterers. Southern Way is the preferred hospitality partner, though outside catering is permitted with approval. The full bar serves all alcohol, prepared and served by Zen staff. Eight private parking spaces are available on-site, with free street parking and additional nearby lots for guests. One handicap accessible parking spot and a ramp into the facility ensure accessibility.

Standard packages include 3 to 4 hours prior to the event for caterer and vendor setup. Sparklers are allowed in the parking lot only; rice and confetti are not permitted. All events must end by 11 p.m. The venue’s lighting systems are professionally installed, allowing dramatic effects or subtle ambiance depending on your preference.

Parking is abundant with on-site spaces plus free street parking and partnered lots nearby. The downtown location means guests can easily access the surrounding neighborhood before or after your event.

All four spaces have dedicated lighting control and hardwood or polished concrete flooring that projects sound cleanly. The Lotus Lounge, Studio, and Bamboo Garden all have excellent acoustics for DJ or live music setups. The Studio’s large open floor plan with hard surfaces allows full-room audio coverage, and the sliding glass walls of the Bamboo Garden mean outdoor sound can be managed independently from the interior spaces.
