The Space

Fussell Estate started as a family’s own story before it became a wedding venue. The family had moved to North Carolina from Rogers, Arkansas about thirteen years before opening, and in 2015 their oldest daughter’s wedding led them to convert a cattle barn into reception space. That first event worked well enough that the family opened the property to the public in 2016 and built View 2395 as part of it.

View 2395 itself is an industrial style building, fully air conditioned and heated, which is worth noting for a Blue Ridge Mountains venue where outdoor temperatures swing hard between seasons. It sits across the road and up the mountain from Fussell Farm, the family’s original barn venue, so the two properties share ownership and grounds even though a couple books one specific space for their day.

Receptions follow the same either-or logic: indoors in the main hall, or outdoors on a patio built with comfortable seating, string lights and fire pits. That flexibility matters practically, since a couple can commit to an outdoor ceremony and reception plan while knowing the fully climate-controlled indoor space is there as a real fallback rather than a folding-chair backup tent.

The kitchen is described as exceptionally large, with an oven, fridge, ice maker and ample counter space, which tells a caterer they are working with real equipment rather than a stripped-down warming station. The bar setup includes an industrial kegerator that fits three half-barrel kegs or six smaller ones, plus a second bar window that opens onto the patio for outdoor service.

Bathrooms are handicap accessible, and both a bridal suite and a groom suite are available for getting ready, with the groom’s suite furnished with a pool table and comfortable seating. For guests who want to stay close, on-site lodging cabins sit within a five-minute drive, offering eight Queen Suites and four King Suites, useful for a wedding party or out-of-town family who would rather not drive back down the mountain late at night.

It is a genuine drive into the mountains, which means guests coming from the Triad or Charlotte should plan real travel time rather than treating it as a quick day trip.
