The Space
Royal Manor was incorporated on July 1, 2007, and opened for business that December 1st, making it one of the newer banquet properties in Garfield. The signature space is built around scale and shine: shimmering chandeliers, gleaming marble floors, and a Grand Ballroom designed specifically for dancing, an indoor waterfall that sparkles both inside and out, and grounds next to Dahnert’s Lake County Park that give the property a landscaped backdrop most banquet halls do not have.
The Grand Ballroom can be divided into two distinct rooms, the Empire Room and the Royal Ballroom, for more intimate gatherings, meaning the same venue can present very differently depending on guest count. Outdoors, a patio area centers on a gazebo and a second waterfall feature, purpose-built for ceremonies and cocktail hours rather than functioning as an afterthought tacked onto an indoor reception space.
Capacity & Layout
Seated capacity reaches 500 guests, with room for 600 at a cocktail-style reception, numbers that put Royal Manor among the larger banquet venues a couple might consider. Because the Grand Ballroom divides into the Empire Room and Royal Ballroom, a couple planning a smaller wedding is not stuck renting the full 500-guest footprint. Only one event is held at a time, so a booked date means the entire property, not a shared floor.
Ceremonies can happen outdoors on the patio, under the gazebo and beside the waterfall, or indoors within the Grand Ballroom itself, giving a couple a real choice between an outdoor backdrop and full weather protection. Reception space spans the Grand Ballroom, Empire Room, and Royal Ballroom depending on how the space is configured for the day, with cocktail hour able to move to the outdoor patio bar.
Amenities
Catering is handled on site with American and Continental cuisine, and outside catering is not permitted, so menu planning runs entirely through Royal Manor’s own kitchen. The bar offers premium liquor, with a dedicated bar on the outdoor patio as well as indoors, useful for keeping cocktail hour moving outside while the ballroom is turned over for dinner and dancing.
Both complimentary valet and self-parking are offered, removing one logistical headache for guests arriving from out of town. Bridal suites are available on site for wedding-day preparation, and the property is wheelchair accessible. Between the marble floors, chandeliers, and indoor waterfall, the venue’s interior finishes are built to photograph well without much additional decor from a couple’s own vendor list.
Location & Getting There
Royal Manor sits in Garfield, New Jersey, directly next to Dahnert’s Lake County Park, which gives the property green space and water views beyond its own landscaped grounds. That setting is unusual for a banquet hall in this part of northern New Jersey, where most event venues sit on standard commercial lots without a park as an immediate neighbor.
We’ve worked a wedding at this venue, and the divide between the Grand Ballroom’s two configurable rooms matters for sound: the Empire Room and Royal Ballroom can be closed off from each other, so a DJ setup in the full combined ballroom needs enough coverage for a large marble-floored room, while a smaller wedding using just one divided room gets tighter, more contained sound without extra speaker reach needed.
