The Space
The four-room log house at the center of this venue was built in 1897 by the Thomas family, on land that had once been part of the Galloway Rose Hill Plantation. William D. Goldston Jr. bought the property in 1971 and converted it into the business office for his trucking company, Goldston Transport, Inc., before the Goldston family eventually moved back into the house and lived there as a private residence.
Later, Goldston renovated the same log house into 912 Bethlehem, a restaurant that served the Eden community from 2010 until 2018. Seth and Stephanie Woodall purchased and renovated the property in April 2021, converting it into the wedding and event venue it is today. A couple booking here is standing inside a small log building that has already been a farm, a trucking office, a family home, and a restaurant before it became a venue.
Capacity & Layout
The property sits on a modest 4.75 acres, small enough that a couple is not managing sprawling grounds or long walks between spaces, but laid out with two distinct ceremony options: a front porch patio, which gives some cover and structure, or a spot beneath an oak tree, which is open-air and informal. That choice shapes seating, sun exposure, and where guests naturally gather once the ceremony ends.
Reception space is inside the main house itself rather than in a separate barn or tent, with bridal and groom’s quarters set aside inside the building for preparation before the ceremony, so the wedding party is not getting dressed off site and traveling in for photos. On the venue’s highest package, overnight accommodation for the bride and groom is included, so the last part of the night does not require anyone to drive.
Amenities
Beyond the ceremony and reception spaces, the four-acre-plus grounds offer cornhole and fishing, which gives guests something concrete to do during the stretch of time between the ceremony and the start of the reception, a gap that can otherwise feel aimless at a smaller, more intimate property that does not have a separate built-in cocktail-hour lounge or bar area.
The venue also has accessible parking, an accessible entrance, and an accessible restroom built into the property, which matters directly for any guest list that includes older relatives or anyone using a wheelchair or a walker to get around a historic log house that was not originally built with modern accessibility in mind, so this is a real, confirmed feature rather than an assumption.
Location & Getting There
The Farm House sits in Eden, NC, on a 4.75-acre property that has stayed in continuous use since 1897, first as a farmhouse on land tied to the old Galloway Rose Hill Plantation, later as a trucking company office and then a working restaurant called 912 Bethlehem, and now as a wedding venue, so the surrounding land has been shaped by decades of working use, not built purely for weddings.
Because the reception happens inside the original four-room log house rather than in a large open barn, the room is smaller and more enclosed, with wood surfaces that keep sound contained rather than letting it scatter the way it would outdoors under the oak tree; a DJ setup here works best treated like a living room rather than a ballroom, with volume dialed to the size of the room.
