The Space
Saddle View Farms is a 49-acre property at 2,800 feet elevation in the North Carolina Highlands near Ennice, sitting adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Manor House, a 3,950 square foot restored vacation property, anchors the site with a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom layout spread across three levels. The house still functions as an active hay farm, so the setting is genuinely rural and working, with rolling pastures and forest surrounding the event spaces.
Inside, the Manor House contains multiple living rooms, including the Great Room and Family Room, both with 50-inch televisions and comfortable gathering furniture. A Gourmet Kitchen, Dining Room overlooking the east pastures, and Dry Bar support event prep and entertaining. The outdoor spaces include a Private Veranda Deck with an 8-seat dining table, a Private Patio with 8 benches and a smokeless firepit, a gazebo with dining seating, and 49 acres of pastureland with four streams and a creek available for ceremony space.
Capacity & Layout
The Manor House sleeps 8 to 11 guests, with four bedrooms across three levels. Indoor seating is 17 guests, with an additional 8 on the gazebo, so this is an intimate-scale venue suited to smaller celebrations or extended family retreats. The outdoor spaces offer flexibility: 49 acres of pasture provide ceremony locations, while the Manor House handles reception dining and gathering indoors. The private Veranda Deck, Patio, and Gazebo offer flexible outdoor entertaining areas depending on weather and group size.
Four living rooms give multiple gathering and preparation spaces. The Game Room contains foosball, arcade cabinets, a 32-inch Infinity Game Table, board games, and puzzles, offering activities before and after the main event. The Library Loft provides quiet space, and each of the four bedrooms offers private accommodation for overnight guests.
Amenities
A Gourmet Kitchen with two Bosch dishwashers, stainless steel appliances, and an outdoor gas grill is fully equipped for meal prep or catering. The Dry Bar supplies glassware and a bar kit for mixing drinks. A smokeless firepit with a campfire cooking kit includes a griddle, Dutch oven, cast iron cookware, and a 52-quart stockpot for outdoor meal service. Portable wheelchair ramps and door threshold ramps are available, and shower and toilet chairs accommodate mobility needs in the primary bathroom.
High-speed fiber internet with Wi-Fi 6E (600 Mbps) supports background music or video streaming. Parking is available via a private driveway. Catering can be prepared in the kitchen or brought in. Pets are welcome, with dog beds, crates, bowls, and toys provided.
Location & Getting There
Ennice sits at elevation in Alleghany County, North Carolina, in the mountain country near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setting is remote and forested, adjacent to state game lands and near trout-stocked Big Pine Creek. The property has working hay fields and active farming, so the landscape remains genuinely rural. This is not a manicured event space but a working property and vacation rental in the mountains.
The Manor House interior with its living rooms and kitchen provides acoustically soft spaces for music, while the 49 acres of pastureland offers natural outdoor ceremony settings. Hard surfaces are limited, so DJ sound will project differently in the pastures versus indoors, making clear placement of equipment important for outdoor ceremonies.
