The Space

Rockbridge Club has operated as a private tennis, swim, and social club in Forest Acres since 1964, and its clubhouse, known as The Hall, has been fully updated for events while keeping its view of Spring Lake. The Hall holds up to 350 guests, a large enough number that most weddings will have real room to work with for both a seated dinner and an open dance floor. For ceremonies, the outdoor deck seats up to 100 guests in theatre-style rows overlooking Spring Lake, which sets a natural ceiling on ceremony-only guest counts even when the reception itself can hold more.

Tables and chairs are provided as part of the rental, removing one line item from a couple’s vendor list, and a bridal suite is available on-site for the wedding party to get ready before the ceremony. The Hall is bookable during the week and on weekends for both club members and non-members, keeping the calendar genuinely open rather than restricted to member-sponsored events only.

Amenities

Gause Catering and Events, operating as Billy G’s Carolina BBQ, is the exclusive caterer for events at Rockbridge Club, though outside caterers can be brought in with restrictions: they get access only to the clubhouse’s prep kitchen and must be DHEC-certified with insurance naming the club as additional insured. That is a real constraint to plan around if a couple has a specific outside caterer in mind.

Wifi is available throughout the property, useful for a band or DJ running streaming playlists or for guests who want to share the day online in real time. Parking is available on-site, and clubhouse rentals run year-round, while the pool itself is only open in the warmer months, from late May through early September, worth noting for a couple hoping to use the pool as a backdrop.
