The Space
Raffaldini Vineyards sits on a 102-acre estate in Ronda, North Carolina in the Swan Creek and Yadkin Valley wine regions. Jay Raffaldini purchased an abandoned 42-acre farm in early 2001 and planted 30 acres of vines with a vision to produce Italian varietals. The first tasting room, the Fattoria, opened in Fall 2005 designed for up to 30 guests. By 2007, the winery was built, and the grandiose Tuscan-style Villa tasting room followed in 2008 to accommodate growth. Today the estate features 48,000 vines producing approximately 72,000 bottles annually. The property is located at 1,200 feet elevation on rocky granite and schist soil that forces roots deeper, drawing out trace minerals and giving the wines distinctive character. Villa Raffaldini is a 6,000-square-foot Tuscan-inspired tasting room with two levels featuring indoor tasting bars and balconies overlooking the vineyard. Fattoria Raffaldini is a farmhouse structure with a stone fireplace, gallery space, and main room for gatherings.
Capacity & Layout
The venue accommodates up to 200 seated guests or 200 standing guests. Ceremony space sits outdoors on the lawn and piazza between the villa and the vines. Reception space uses the villa’s two-level interior or the Fattoria building with outdoor decking. Piazza tables sit beside the vines for a more casual gathering. The multiple spaces allow for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in different areas with sightlines connecting guests visually to the vineyard setting. Outdoor canopy rentals accommodate groups up to 16 for semi-private areas within the property. A picnic area near the parking lot provides mountain views for different activity zones.
