The Gulf Station is a refurbished tobacco shed stocked with early to mid twentieth century memorabilia, and on wedding day it usually serves as the groomsmen’s staging room while the bridal party dresses in Mountain View Home. That house sleeps six across three full baths with a gourmet kitchen and windows looking out over the farm and the lake, so getting ready happens with the same view the ceremony will use.

Indoors, the reception space seats up to 240 for a plated dinner, and the large covered porch off to the side seats another 60, which gives a couple room to split a big guest list between a formal dining room and a more relaxed, open-air overflow without losing anyone to a tent in a field. Ceremony seating goes further still, accommodating up to 300 across church pews, benches, and chairs.

The property has its own catering kitchen, and outside catering is permitted, so a couple isn’t boxed into one caterer’s calendar or menu.

The grounds carry their own character past the buildings: a fire pit ringed by ten rocking chairs for the end of the night, antique church pews and farm tables used as seating and gift displays, and an old wagon that regularly does duty as the card or gift table. The horses stay out in the pasture during events, visible but not underfoot, which guests notice without anyone having to point it out.
