The Space

MeadowView Events sits on 66 acres of rolling South Carolina meadowland, with 50 of those acres set aside for events. It is a working property as much as a venue: the family that owns it, Benji and Ali, run a herd of Texas Longhorn cattle and grow and harvest hay on the land. The main hall carries that same handmade character, vaulted ceilings held up by more than nine tons of hand-crafted Douglas fir timber trusses, over roughly 6,500 square feet of enclosed space.

Benji and Ali got engaged in 2017 and started looking for an affordable countryside venue with modern amenities, something they felt was missing around Charlotte. They spent a year searching before choosing this property in McConnells and opened MeadowView in 2021. That founders’ search shows up in the building and grounds: a landscaped ceremony area with an arbor, a pond and water feature, and turfed ground rather than raw field for guests to stand on.

Capacity & Layout

The main hall seats 225 guests at 5-foot round tables, and the outdoor ceremony area holds over 200 on its own, so the numbers work whether you marry outside and reception inside or keep the whole day in one space. A 20-by-11 stage with its own AV system does triple duty as an altar, a band stage, or extra seating and display space, giving a planner real room to move pieces around depending on the guest count and the format of the day.

Between the covered porches and patios for cocktail hour, the turfed and landscaped outdoor ceremony area with its custom pergola and walkway, and the indoor hall for dinner and dancing, the layout is built around moving guests through three distinct zones rather than keeping everyone in one room all night. Separate bridal and groom suites mean both sides of the wedding party have their own space to get ready in before any of that begins.

Amenities

The hall is climate-controlled with air conditioning, heating, and full electrical service, so weather is not dictating your date the way it would at an open-air barn. A 16-by-20 dance floor and a built-in sound system cover the reception, while the outdoor ceremony area has its own PA system, meaning vows carried across a lawn of 200-plus guests do not depend on a rented speaker trucked in for the day.

MeadowView allows couples to select their own caterer rather than working from an approved list, and a dedicated bartender station space is already built into the hall. On-site event coordination is included, accessible facilities are in place, and parking covers more than 66 cars, enough that guest parking is rarely something a couple has to plan around.

Location & Getting There

MeadowView is close enough to be convenient without feeling suburban: about 15 minutes from downtown Rock Hill, York, and Clover, 30 minutes from Fort Mill and Tega Cay, and roughly 45 minutes from uptown Charlotte. For a Charlotte-area guest list, that puts the venue within a reasonable drive while keeping the rolling-meadow setting that a property this size, with cattle grazing and hay fields, actually earns.

For a DJ, the property’s built-in PA system for the outdoor ceremony and a dedicated sound system in the hall mean the hardest part of a farm wedding, running clean audio between an open-air ceremony and an indoor reception, is already solved by the venue itself rather than left entirely to whatever gear gets hauled in for the day.
