The Space

Lacée Meadows sits on 67 acres of the Cowboys & Angels Ranch outside Belton, a working ranch property turned wedding ground with rolling hills, a vineyard, an orchard, and gardens that range from French cottage style to a rock garden with wildflowers. A 150-foot covered bridge crosses toward a pond, strung with lights and hung with chandeliers, and small water features and flowing streams run through the grounds, giving photographers real variety within one property.

The wedding chapel anchors the ceremony side of the property, with an outdoor lawn as an alternative, while the Carriage House handles the reception with a climate-controlled interior, an indoor fireplace, and a prep kitchen. Jan and Don Dial developed the ranch into this venue, and Debbie came on as wedding coordinator when it hosted its first wedding at the Chapel in 2020, so the event side of the property is newer than the ranch itself.

Capacity & Layout

The venue holds up to 350 guests across its meadows and natural spaces, a number that gives a couple room to spread a larger wedding across the grounds rather than packing everyone into a single room. Because the ceremony, chapel or lawn, sits apart from the reception space in the Carriage House, guests naturally transition through the property during cocktail hour, crossing the covered bridge or walking the gardens rather than sitting in place through a single room flip.

Getting ready happens in two separate buildings built for exactly that: the Bridal Cottage Treehouse sleeps the wedding party on a king bed on the main level plus full and queen beds in an upper loft, with a clawfoot soaking tub and a beauty studio for four, while the Carriage House has its own upstairs Groom’s loft with a full spa shower, kitchenette, dining table, and seating, so both sides of the wedding party have real space rather than a shared bathroom.

Amenities

The Carriage House kitchen is stocked for a caterer to actually work from, with refrigerators, an ice maker, and a food warming cabinet built in, rather than couples needing to arrange a separate prep tent. The indoor fireplace gives the reception room a focal point for cooler-weather weddings, and because the space is fully climate controlled, a summer or winter date does not change what the room feels like inside.

Outside, the 150-foot covered bridge doubles as both a photo location and a sheltered walkway toward the pond, useful if weather turns during the reception. The property is reported as wheelchair accessible, and the range of garden styles, cottage garden, rock garden, wildflower plantings, orchard, and vineyard, means a couple can choose a backdrop that matches their taste rather than one fixed garden look for every wedding here.

Location & Getting There

Lacée Meadows sits in Anderson County, South Carolina, about 25 miles from downtown Greenville, close enough for city guests to make the drive without an overnight stay being required, while still keeping the ranch’s rural, private feel. The property’s ranch setting means most of the day happens outdoors or in buildings built specifically for events, rather than a hotel ballroom repurposed for the occasion.

We have worked a wedding at this venue, and the split between the open-air covered bridge and ceremony lawn versus the enclosed, climate-controlled Carriage House matters for sound: outdoors, music and the ceremony itself need to compete with wind and the open meadow, so speaker placement near the bridge and pond makes a real difference, while the reception moves into the fully enclosed Carriage House, where the fireplace room holds sound the way an indoor space does and a DJ can run a normal dance floor setup without fighting the outdoors.
