Fox Barn at Twenty9 opened in 2010 on the site of the former Flannigan’s Boathouse in the Great Valley Corporate Center, and it operates as a genuine two-story barn rather than a converted banquet hall, at 7,000 square feet total. The building houses a fine-dining restaurant, a casual sports bar, and the event venue itself under one roof, so a couple booking here is booking into a property that runs as a working restaurant on other nights of the week.

The main ballroom keeps its rustic wooden beams overhead and chandeliers hung between them, a combination that reads as barn architecture without the exposed-plywood feel some newer builds have. Stephen Scutti and Executive Chef Edwin Tietjen, who have owned Stephen’s restaurant in Media, PA since 2003, founded the venue together with Patricia Archie, which explains why the food program here runs with the same seriousness as the space itself.

The ballroom seats 200 guests or holds 350 for a cocktail-style reception, and the venue overall flexes from 25 up to 250 guests across its multiple rooms, wide enough range to fit a small family wedding or a large Saturday celebration without feeling like the wrong-sized room.
