Tillinghast, and was redesigned into today’s championship 18-hole course by Donald Ross in 1920. That course now plays 6,784 yards from the back tees at a par of 71, with a slope rating of 136 that golf-minded guests will recognize as a serious layout.

For a wedding, the Grand Ballroom is the primary event space, with the golf course itself serving as the backdrop for photos and, in season, for the outdoor dining area. The club’s layout puts the ballroom and the course close enough together that a couple can move guests from a ceremony or cocktail hour outside into the ballroom without much distance to cover or much time lost between parts of the day.
