Created by the Neal family, Goldsboro natives who launched the venue during the Covid era out of a dream to build a wedding property straight out of a Southern storybook, it has a genuinely personal, family-run feel. The centerpiece is Birdsong Chapel, a 1,728-square-foot open-air chapel set in a woodland clearing where the surrounding trees literally fill the ceremony with birdsong, giving couples an up-close-with-nature experience under the protection of a roof. Combined with the gardens, the natural areas, and the historic Lewis Atkinson Home, it is a distinctive, deeply atmospheric setting in eastern North Carolina.
