The Skyroom is what happens when a wedding planner finally builds the venue she always wished existed. Owner Jen Shaefer spent a decade planning intentional events across the Triangle before she and her father Mark turned eighteen years of labor, sweat, and tears into a room of their own in Moncure, half an hour from Raleigh.
The result is a modern view on southern splendor: light-filled, thoughtfully designed, and built around the details planners actually care about. Lounge furniture and tabletop decor come with the room, umbrellas turn up for summer and heaters for winter, and the whole operation runs on what Jen calls transparency and authenticity. Nothing about it is accidental, which is exactly why couples relax the second they walk in.
