Awe Inspiring Views
The Lodge on Brier Creek, is an exceptional up and coming Wilkes, NC event venue, and one of our favorite places to take a big breath of fresh air, let our shoulders drop and celebrate! Founded as a venue (formerly Gambill Farms) in 2020 by husband and wife team, Jenna and Bart Matthis, The Lodge at Brier Creek sits on 155 acres of beautiful former farmland, surrounded by trees and rolling foothills, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They are so ‘up-and-coming’ that even though they’re just getting started, they’ve already won the honor of being selected for the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Award in 2021; and, selected for The Knots’ Best of Weddings 2021! And, did we mention the 150 year old oak tree that makes a magnificent ceremony backdrop? Or all the other intimate pockets on the grounds that would also be perfect? Sounds pretty extraordinary, if you’re into gorgeous, clean, classic, contemporary, upscale rustic, with views that will knock your socks off, that is!
Rockin’ and Rollin’
Imagine sitting in one of the beautiful rocking chairs on the huge covered deck, cocktail in hand, the breeze gently blowing, looking out over the lush hills, chatting with friends and family, while people play lawn games and hang out under the shade of the beautiful old trees surrounding the lodge. Sounds like a pretty dreamy way to spend an afternoon, right?! Now onto the reception!
Style and Craftsmanship
One of the things that impresses us most, is the care, consideration and craftsmanship that has gone into every detail of this venue! They’ve truly thought of everything, from the huge and stunning covered pavilion, replacing the need to temporarily tent the space, to the gorgeous, classic, yet neutral Bridal Suite, to the rustic and charming Groomsmens’ Stables, to the handcrafted barnwood bar and ‘kegerator’ to the beautiful custom French wine barrel tables! Everything here serves a function, while also being exquisite!
Now onto the Party!
The cocktails have been enjoyed, dinner and dessert have been served, the speeches have made everyone misty, now onto the dance! Picture yourself and your new spouse getting ready for your first dance of the rest of your lives! Your dance floor is set on the big beautiful pavilion on the back of the lodge – a beautiful indoor/outdoor space… a way to escape the elements while enjoying the outdoors – you step onto the dance floor holding hands, surrounded by family and friends, under the soft glow of twinkly lights, your DJ cues up the music, and the next chapter of your lives together begins! After that it’s time to get the party pumping, and for you and your nearest and dearest to dance the night away! After the party the folks of The Lodge on Brier Creek, can help arrange for shuttle service for your guests, to the hotel(s) of your choosing. The Lodge has established relationships with five different shuttle services and four different local hotels. That way you will be able to rest easy knowing that all of your guests will get home safely at the end of the evening.
