Located on Great Egg Harbor Bay, 14 miles from Atlantic City & 74 miles from Philadelphia, Somers Point, New Jersey, is a former ship building town, with a small but vibrant community overlooking the water of the Jersey Shore. When the borough of Somers Point, NJ was incorporated in 1888, the town had only 48 registered voters, but its recorded history goes back much further, since the area boasts the oldest home in Atlantic County. The Somer’s Mansion was built in 1725, and was acquired by the city in 1937. The Somers Mansion is now available for public tours where you can view furnishings and décor from the 18th century and learn how some of the original Somers Pointers settlers lived.

The town doesn’t just offer history though; there is also a vibrant art and music scene. The town offers a Somers Point Beach Concert Series in the summer, as well as a Jazz On The Beach series, Art In The Park and numerous other events and happenings throughout the year!

With all of that in mind, here’s a little slice of what Somers Point has to offer when it comes to planning your wedding!
