Charlotte Ceremony Sound Done Right
Microphones for your officiant and vows, music on cue for the processional, and every guest hearing every word.
The ceremony is the reason everyone came, and it is the part of the day most likely to have a sound problem. Reception packages do not always include ceremony sound, the ceremony is often in a different spot than the reception, and outdoor ceremonies swallow unamplified voices after the first few rows. The fix is simple: a dedicated ceremony speaker, real microphones, and a person running the cues.
We are in Charlotte constantly, with new events on the calendar every weekend across the metro, from uptown ballrooms to Lake Norman waterfront venues.
With Dow Oak, ceremony audio is not a separate vendor or an afterthought. The same team that runs your reception covers your ceremony: a discreet microphone on the officiant, vows every guest can hear, the processional starting the moment the doors open, and the recessional hitting on the kiss. One team, one system, no gaps between the ceremony ending and cocktail hour starting.
What You Get
Charlotte Wedding Ceremony Sound
Officiant & Vow Mics
A discreet mic on the officiant plus coverage for your vows, so row twelve hears what row one hears.
Music On Cue
Processional, bride entrance, unity moment, recessional: each song starts exactly on the moment, run by a human watching the aisle.
Outdoor-Ready
Open air eats sound. We bring dedicated, weather-aware gear sized for outdoor sites, gardens, and hillsides.
Separate Ceremony Site
Ceremony in one spot, reception in another? We cover both with separate systems so neither gets compromised.
Readers & Musicians
Doing a reading, or having a live musician play the processional? We mic and mix them through the same system.
Cocktail Hour Covered
The system keeps background music running through cocktail hour while the reception room flips.
On the Calendar Across Charlotte
We cover Charlotte, Lake Norman, Concord, Fort Mill, and the wider metro. Couples and planners in the area book us at venues like Ballantyne Country Club, Vanlandingham Estate, Separk Mansion, FlakeHaven Wedding & Events Venue, Morehead Inn, and our Charlotte wedding DJ page has the full picture: reviews, venues, and everything included.
What It Costs
Ceremony sound is available with our wedding packages, and coverage depends on the package you choose, so confirm it when you book rather than assuming, which is the mistake we see couples make with other vendors every season. Pick your date and area on our pricing page to see every package. A $400 retainer reserves your date.
Questions
Charlotte FAQs
Is ceremony sound included with your wedding DJ packages?
It depends on the package you choose, so we confirm it up front when you book, never the week of the wedding. Our packages can cover ceremony microphones and music, cocktail hour, and the reception as one system from one team.
Do I need a separate sound system for an outdoor ceremony?
Usually yes. Open air swallows sound, and guests past the first few rows cannot hear unamplified voices. We bring a dedicated ceremony speaker and microphones sized for the site.
Will the officiant and our vows be mic-ed?
Yes. The officiant wears a discreet microphone and we make sure your vows carry to every seat, without a handheld mic in your wedding photos unless you want one.
Can you play for the processional and recessional?
Yes, and this is the heart of ceremony sound: each song starting exactly on cue, run by a person watching the aisle, not a playlist on shuffle.
What if our ceremony and reception are in different places?
We cover both with separate setups so the ceremony system never has to be torn down mid-event. Tell us both locations and we will plan the day around them.
