The Cookery lives in the old Durham Food Co-op building on West Chapel Hill Street, and it wears that history beautifully. The 12,000 square foot space blends industrial bones with real elegance: a ballroom, the Front Room, an outdoor cobblestone garden, a courtyard, and a dressing suite, with room for up to 400 guests.
It is also more than a venue. The Cookery doubles as a certified culinary incubator, so the same building that hosts weddings helps launch Durham food entrepreneurs.
